Discover various forms of folk art from around the globe under one roof. The Museum of Craft and Folk Art is the only folk art museum of its kind in Northern California. On display, you will find traditional and fashionable items that represent domestic and international populations.
While you are there, visit the Museum Store, which showcases a wide selection of quirky jewelry, wearable art, crafts and decorative items. Choose from an artsy, colored glass necklace to a handcrafted marble vase, all designed and developed by eminent and imminent artists.
Previous exhibits have displayed African-American quilts, puppets from around the world, silks from Laos, water spirits in folk art and legend, and items created by detainees in America's Japanese internment camps. Go on the first Tuesday of each month when admission is free.
