Bay to Breakers 12K - San Francisco Hotels .com

With over 75,000 participants the Bay to Breakers Foot Race is one of the largest and the oldest races in the world. But what makes this 12-kilometer foot race special is that everyone is there to have fun.

While there are definitely some of take the race seriously, others come in wild and crazy costumes looking to amuse spectators. And unless you are running, the event is free to watch. After the race, everyone can celebrate at the Footstock Festival where there is plenty of food and music.
