Italian Heritage Parade - San Francisco Hotels .com

Formerly Columbus Day, the Italian Heritage Parade is one the nation's oldest parades celebrating Italian-American culture. Over 400,000 attend the festivities surrounding the parade. Handcrafted floats make their way down the parade route, along with organizations and marching bands.

The parade starts at 12:30 p.m. at Jefferson and Stockton Streets in Fisherman's Wharf, then goes along Columbus Avenue until Washington Square.
